Rainy Night

It was a late night at work and it was raining, she couldn’t wait to get home and light some candles and take a long hot bath. She looked out the office window and watched as the rain hit the window. She looked over at her clock and saw that it was time for her to go. She turned off her laptop and grabbed her purse and jacket and closed the door behind her.  She forgot that it was going to rain and she didn’t have an umbrella which meant she would have to take a cab home. She got out the elevator and saw that it was now raining harder than it was before. She saw a yellow cab parked in front of her building and ran towards the door to hurry and catch him but before she could get there he pulled away. She was mad but knew that she was going to get wet standing outside trying to hail a cab. She thought about going back in the office and changing out of her business clothes and putting on her gym clothes that she leaves in the office. She pulled out her phone and saw that she missed a call and had a couple of text messages that she didn’t respond too yet. She put her phone back in her pocket and went to the corner to try and get a cab. She managed to hail a cab with the help of this other woman who was kind enough to let her stand under her umbrella while she tried.  She looked at the woman and notice that she was very beautiful; she had hazel eyes and full lips. She couldn’t help but stare at the woman until the woman caught her and asked her was everything okay. She was busted and started blushing and told her that she was sorry for staring at her but couldn’t help that she looked so good. The woman complimented her and told her that she wasn’t too bad herself. They exchanged numbers and the woman told her to make sure she texted her when she got home. She hailed a cab and got in and the woman closed the door and walked away.

She got home and remembered that she wanted to get some wine from the shop up the street. The rain had slowed down and she didn’t mind getting a little wet to go and get her wine. The cab driver dropped her in front of the store and she got out and ran into the store. She had her head held down and didn’t notice the guy coming out of the store and bumped into him. She apologized and he told her it was okay, he asked her if she wanted to use his umbrella because he didn’t mind getting wet. She told him that she like the rain and it was only water. He laughed and told her to have a nice night and left out the store. She looked back and saw that he was standing outside looking in at her and she smiled and went down the aisle to get her wine.  She got her bottled and walked up to the front to pay the cashier and the guy was waiting for her. She laughed and asked did he forget something and he told her that he couldn’t just leave without getting her number
